Wedding

So my sister got married on Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding, and I think it's safe to say that everyone had a good time. I wish I could upload some pictures, but it's not going to happen right now. I'm relieved that it's over, only because the whole week before the wedding was nothing but a huge party. I think I actually slept for a full eight hours for the first time last night. Yeah. Good times.

My mom also woke me up with good news this morning: for Scout's birthday present, she's flying me to Tennessee to see him before he starts school. We both thought it would be another two (plus) months before we saw each other, so it's really nice to know that I'll see him in two weeks. Dang, I miss him.

My dad and stepmom introduced me to a new place called Panera. Anyone know it? It was my first time there, and it was such an awesome bakery. So good. I've been dreaming about going back for two days now, so I might have to do that today.

And yeah. I thought I had so much money when I got here. I've said for so long that money goes further in the states because of all the competition between places like Target and WalMart. Um, no. I obviously forgot that having a Target and a WalMart (and a Costco, and an Old Navy, and a Macy's, and a whatever) means I can just spend more money.

Panera Bread? I love that place! Sean and I found them when we lived at Fort Knox . . . they are the best and now there is one only 20 miles from my parents house and less then 10 from my new house to be. Have you ever been to La Madeline?

Heidi,

I've never heard of La Madeline, but I went to Panera today and ordered a pepperoni Crispani. Dang, it was good. What is La Madeline anyway? You might have to introduce me to it. :)

Yes Panera is good! And you're right...the spending opportunities in the states are everywhere you look!

Love Panera, but none close. I try to go when we're in Kanasas City. Good to hear your sisters wedding went well! Also, it's very nice that you get to go visit your hubby!

Panera is the same as St. Louis Bread Company, as StL folks love to point out. They're big in MO and IL. You should try their chicken salad...

Ah, yes, Panera's is great! We have two here in Peoria, just a few minutes from our house. Sarah and I love the potato soup. It's yummy. I like the turkey artichoke panini too. Sarah told me about your sister's wedding. Sounds like it was fun. Where will you be in Tennesee? Sarah and I will be driving to SC around Sept. 27th. Will you be there then? Sure was nice of your mom to give you such a good birthday present!
Love,
Nancy
