Yellow Crush

I formed a huge crush on some vintage yellow drapes (can't tell you how "vintage" they are; they smell like they're from the '50s) at the thrift store this weekend.

I knew immediately that they'd make the perfect Buttercup Bag (pattern by Rae Hoekstra):

I lined the purse with some fabric I bought when I was going through the I'm Going to Make My Own Cloth Diapers phase (that ended very quickly). The purse (made in the enlarged size) has enough room for all of the essentials - and then some:

The pattern was easy and fun to use. I would definitely suggest it if you are in the market for a new purse - and you want to make it yourself.
