This is my mom's new pup. Is she not the cutest thing ever? She's a wire-haired dachshund, although she hasn't developed most of her "wires" yet - but she'll look something like this when she does.
I can't wait to meet her in August.

Keep us posted on the dog. We are looking into getting this type of breed. Ask your mom if they shed?
How cute! I love Doxies...we considered getting one and it was a close call between a Daschund and a Golden Retriever. Too cute :)

According to my mom, they don't shed. However, because of that, they have to be groomed quite frequently to get rid of all the old hair. I think she found that information on the site I linked to?

My MIL had one, they really don't shed...there was never dog hair on the carpet and she was not a big cleaner.

I forgot that we're both daschund-lovers! I'm trying to convince my husband to give them a try, but he only likes big dogs :( which makes absolutely no sense for our tiny condo.
