Me: Honey, I'd like to go to that organic nursery tomorrow and find a hostess gift for that barbeque on Saturday.
Scout (looking at me like I'm the dumbest person in the world): Umm. We're not supposed to bring crap like that.
Me: It's called etiquette, dear. You have no say in the matter.
Scout: Whatever. Are you still making lemon bars?

I busted out laughing when I read this.....are you sure Scout isn't related to my husband?
We got a thank you card yesterday for a wedding we attended in Dec. It had a pic of the new couple and a nice note. My husband opened it, showed it to me, and then said, "Should I throw it away?"
Snort.
That's too funny!!! Men just don't think sometimes. Add mine to the list.....
Geez. I cannot even count on one hand the numbers of times we've stopped on the way somewhere because I needed to clean up an etiquette nightmare before it starts.
They are lucky they are so cute.
LOL.
This reminds me of an event we went to recently where hubs had to wear civilians. He doesn't do that very well unless it is Carhartt or the like. So, one of his comrades had the same 'dress' issue and asked my hubs, so what does casual mean in military terms? Hubs said, you better phone my wife real quick and make sure, but I think she has told me that it requires more than jeans and a t-shirt. HE HE
Now, onto those lemon bars, yummo!! Food is always on my mind! :)
Add me to that list.
Don
lol... this made me have flash backs to conversations JUST LIKE this that go on in my house!
And your point is...?????
Hang in there Scout.
